Lake Of The Woods Ice Roads. Cyrus resort and morris point usually have a great road out of. We’ll be heading up to lake of the woods next week and i’m wondering which ice road to use.
The lake is big enough for all to use, so respect other people, and they will respect you. We have always gone through guide services where they took us out in day shacks but this year we are driving our trucks out and using. The resorts own the shoreline to access roads but not the water.
All the ice roads are open to the public but you’ll have to pay to access them. A frien of mine plowed his own road and left his wheel house out ther, only to come back to 15 holes around it and ice 8 inches up the walls on his house. It already has seen hundreds of hours invested in plowing, staking, erecting signage and building and placing bridges over cracks in the ice which is standard protocol with an ice road.
